I believe it does have an 'instant replay' featureĭxtory requires a small amount of setup, but allows you to really optimize the quality vs. is actually pretty decent, but not particularly configurable compared to other options. Last I checked the 'instant replay' feature wasn't implemented in the current release, but was expected to be arriving 'soonish' OBS is a nightmare to configure and use (compared to all other options), but the quality is pretty good once set up, and it's BY FAR the most configurable. Shadowplay / Relive are OK, but not the best in terms of quality or customization Here's a super quick summary of the software solutions I've used (I bought a capture card eventually): I also tried OBS, but it seems to be more for streaming and I can't seem to set it up right.Īnyone got some good suggestions? I tried searching but ironically I ended back up on this sub about someone asking for a replacement for Shadowplay and people only responded with "It's working fine for me, why change?". I tried Fraps, but it seems kind of heavy and not really a fan of it. Does anybody know of any good software that could basically do the same two features of Shadowplay that I usually use? That would be Instant Replay (saving X amount of past minutes) or start and stop recording for unlimited time. But alas, it is definitely not my hardware (6700K, GTX1080, 16GB DDR4, SSD etc.) and I'm sick and tired of Shadowplay fucking up at the random, I'm done trying to solve it. ![]() ![]() I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing options, changing where to save the recordings, even did a full Windows reinstall at some point. And sometimes it just doesn't seem to work at all or it even manages to freeze up my Windows 10 UI (it becomes unresponsive for some random reason.). Also recordings seem to stutter completely at the random when I use Instant Replay or record long bits of gameplay. ![]() Completely at the random, didn't even change anything than I usually had for recording. Like I just recorded two hours of gaming only to find out later all my sound was missing. Since then it has been atrocious to work with, not because of the UI, but because of the amount of totally random bugs. So I have been using Shadowplay for quite a while and it was working fine all the way up until 3.0.
